Displacement of Fields in Documents & Contracts: Now Fixed!

Modified on Tue, 3 Jun at 11:20 AM

What’s New?

    • Field Displacement Fixed Across Browsers: Fields in Documents now remain properly                  anchored   —no more jumping around in the editor, preview, or the link sent to the end user.

    • All new documents created from this point forward will utilize the new framework, resolving the           previous issues encountered.

    • Cloning documents or using older templates will still appear in the previous version of the editor,         which may still lead to displacement issues if they occurred earlier. Note: Create new documents         or templates to eliminate the issue.

How to Use

1. Existing Documents

   • Open or duplicate any pre-existing file → it continues using the old framework with its original fonts and behaviors.

2. New Documents

   • Click "Create Document" → you’ll automatically access the new engine, featuring fresh fonts, and the latest fixes related to displacement will be applied.

Why We Built It

    • Users who previously experienced issues with fields not appearing where they were placed in the     editor will no longer face this problem when viewed by the end user on their device.

What's Next?

    • PDF Layout Shifts Fix: Some element displacement in PDFs may still occur when multiple page         breaks exist in longer documents. We’re addressing this—expect a fix shortly. The current                  workaround is to place all fillable fields within draggable block elements on documents, as they          will then move relative to the block they are positioned on.
