Payment Method Access Limited to Admins on Lockout Screen

We’ve made an important update to improve consistency in how billing permissions are handled — specifically during the SaaS plan lockout experience.
 
What’s New
When an account is scheduled to be moved to a SaaS plan and users are presented with the lockout screen, we now restrict who can add or update payment methods:
  • Only account admins can add or change payment methods from this screen.
  • Account users (non-admins) will no longer be able to access the payment method section.
  • A new message is shown to inform Account users that they don’t have permission to make billing changes.
 
Where This Applies
This change only applies to the SaaS lockout screen — the page shown to users when a SaaS plan is scheduled for their account, and a payment method is required to continue.
In all other parts of the platform, billing access has already been limited to admins — this update simply brings the lockout flow in line with that standard.
Why This Matters
  • Ensures only authorized users can manage billing actions during SaaS onboarding
  • Prevents accidental or unauthorized subscription changes by account users
  • Creates a more consistent and secure experience for all user roles
This update is part of our ongoing effort to provide a clear, role-appropriate experience across the platform — while keeping your billing secure and streamlined.
