Modified on Thu, 10 Jul at 6:02 AM

We’re thrilled to announce the resolution of a long-standing and frustrating issue that’s been a consistent pain point for our community:
Apps getting auto-approved for accounts without consent or review
— this is now officially fixed!
What Was Happening?
For months, account experienced an unintentional behavior where apps were being auto-approved and made available in their environments without any manual review or approval. This caused:
  • Loss of control over app availability to accounts
  • Confusion around unapproved app listings
What’s Fixed Now?
With this release:
  • No more surprise approvals
    – all apps will now respect the account approval workflow as originally intended.
  • This fix ensures that account-level controls are honored, preventing accidental exposure of unvetted apps to accounts.
  • This applies to all current and future app additions through the marketplace or internal distribution mechanisms.
Why It Matters
Accounts can now breathe easy knowing their app-ecosystem stays curated and under control. This resolves a top pain point and sets the stage for upcoming enhancements in marketplace governance and app management flexibility.
